Risk Management

Partnership Working
This event took place on 2 March 2020 in York and was aimed primarily at Audit Committee members, although open to all officers who attend these committees.
The focus was on partnership working and how STPs/ICPs/ICSs can start to develop effective governance, risk management and assurance processes despite not being statutory organisations.

Workforce Assurance
This event was aimed primarily at Audit Committee and Workforce/People Committee members, although open to all officers who attend these committees.
The event examined some of the workforce challenges across the NHS and innovative ways to approach them. It also looked at the assurance that People/Workforce Committees should be receiving and how this differs from the assurance the Audit Committee require.

Improving Audit Committee Effectiveness Event
There have been a number of high profile reports in 2013 about quality in the NHS; Francis, Keogh and Berwick have all highlighted failings in care and made suggestions for change. This has led to an increasing expectation on NHS Boards and particularly on Audit Committees, to consider assurances about the quality of care. This event provided both current supporting information and prompt discussion in this area.
